Quality Control System

The European Journal of Medical Practitioners (EJMP) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific quality, editorial excellence, and publication integrity. Our comprehensive quality control system ensures that every manuscript undergoes rigorous evaluation and professional editorial processing before publication.

Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to evaluate their suitability for the journal's scope, compliance with submission requirements, ethical standards, and overall scientific quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected prior to peer review.

Peer Review

EJMP employs a rigorous single-blind peer-review process conducted by independent experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts for originality, scientific validity, methodological quality, ethical compliance, significance of findings, and relevance to the journal's scope. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer recommendations and the independent judgment of the Editor-in-Chief.

Quality Assurance

Throughout the editorial process, manuscripts are carefully assessed to ensure:

  • Scientific originality and novelty.
  • Methodological rigor and accuracy.
  • Compliance with ethical and publication standards.
  • Clear presentation and logical organization.
  • Appropriate statistical analysis where applicable.
  • Accurate and complete references.
  • Consistency with the journal's formatting requirements.

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or an equivalent plagiarism detection software before peer review. Manuscripts that exceed the journal's acceptable similarity threshold or contain evidence of plagiarism or duplicate publication may be rejected or returned for revision.

Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting and proofreading to improve language quality, grammar, consistency, formatting, reference accuracy, and overall presentation while preserving the scientific content of the work.

Production Quality Control

Before publication, each manuscript is subjected to a final production review to verify:

  • Author information and affiliations.
  • Figures, tables, and supplementary materials.
  • References and DOI accuracy.
  • Metadata and indexing information.
  • Formatting consistency.
  • Final author approval of page proofs.

Continuous Quality Improvement

The Editorial Office regularly reviews its editorial procedures, peer-review practices, and publication standards to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with internationally recognized publishing guidelines, including those of ICMJE, COPE, and other best-practice frameworks.

Commitment to Excellence

Through a rigorous editorial workflow, independent peer review, professional production services, and continuous quality monitoring, the European Journal of Medical Practitioners (EJMP) is dedicated to publishing reliable, ethical, and high-quality research that advances medical science and contributes to improved healthcare worldwide.
